ANNOUNCEMENT

The American Chinese Garment Association offering scholarships to honor and praise the hard work and efforts in studying by the children of our members.

The applicants’ qualifications and application details are as follows: a) Applicants should be children of a current ACGCA member with a minimum membership of two years. b) Applicants should currently be enrolled in a U.S. university or high school and have minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 or higher. c) Applicants enrolled in a U.S. intermediate middle school should have a minimum overall GPA of 4.0. d) Applicants must provide a copy of their transcripts, report card or other related certificates as proof of GPA and enrollment.

(2) Applications will be accepted beginning November 1 st , and the deadline is February 15 th . Applications received after the deadline and not be considered or accepted.
 
(3) Scholarship winners will receive a monetary cash award and a beautiful wall plaque award to hang at home. Winning applicants can be awarded both types of awards.
 
(4) Six applicants will be awarded every year. There will be four in the university and high school group separately, and two in the middle school group.
 
(5) Applicants will be evaluated based on their report card or transcripts. Courses taken would be taken into consideration. (evaluation decisions are reserved by ACGCA scholarship committee)
 
(6) If several applicants receive the same scores, we will use a draw-out method to select the eventual winning applicants.
 
(7) The list of scholarship award winners will be announced in February of the same year (or notified by phone). The awards will be presented to the winners at the dinner ceremony held during our annual Chinese New Year’s Celebration. (winners will be notified of the date, time and address of awards presentation)
